Consultant Will Provide Initial Findings on Potential for Arts and Cultural Facility in Prince George

The Prince George Regional Performing Arts Centre Society is inviting the public to hear from the consultant as he reports on his initial findings on the potential for a performing arts and cultural centre in Prince George .

“We’re hoping for a strong turnout from interested residents of Prince George,” says Society President Sharon Cochran.  “The expectation is that this project will be a key economic component in the development of Prince George ’s downtown.”

The committee hired a well-regarded arts facility consultant Webb Management to deliver a detailed, needs assessment covering issues such as current facilities, local users, audiences, markets and economic benefits.  Interviews were conducted in the community last fall and January 2008.     Duncan Webb who conducted the interviews, says, “the residents of Prince George are very passionate about arts and culture – our discussions were very lively!”

WHERE:      Prince George Public Library (downtown Bob Harkins branch) – Keith Gordon room.

WHEN:        Tuesday, April 1st – 7:30pm – 9pm.
