Judy Russell

Judy Russell – Owner Enchainement Productions Inc.,
Parent company of Enchainement Dance Center and Dance N’ Things Supply Shop and Enchainement Technical Services.
Judy started Enchainement Dance Studio in Prince George in 1979, she then left it to her mom Bunny Murray,long time teacher for the Royal Academy of Dancing,to look after as Judy took off to B.C.I .T. to try to her hand in Broadcast Journalism. The education was great and she worked in local radio in Prince George for a short period of time in the early eighties.
As Judy’s’ true calling is Dance and Theatre it didn’t take long for her to enroll in the R.A.D. Teachers Certificate Program. Judy achieved her teaching Certificate in 1988 and has trained highly successful ballet student’s right up to the prestigious Solo Seal examination. Judy holds her Grade Nine Piano forte from the Toronto Conservatory of Music and has sung in many musicals and choirs. Judy’s’ formal Royal Academy of Dance training came from well known Vancouver B.C. teachers Josephine Slater and Ellen Andrews of Canadian Dance World and teaching mentor Lynette Kelly as well as fulltime training from Mother Bunny Murray ( a career RAD ballet teacher since the mid- fifties) and Father Choral Director and Musical Theatre Conductor Alex Murray.
Judy has spent most of her life either on stage, preparing others to perform or watching live entertainment from a seat in the audience. She is woman of diverse talents, but perhaps her single most important attribute is her ability to teach and inspire performers of all ages.
Enchainement Dance Center is a beautiful studio which boasts 5 studios a large dance supply shop “Dance N’ Things” and a support staff of over 20 teachers, office and pianists. It has approximately 500 students and offers a wide variety of classes. It also is home to “Performers North Entertainment Company” a non – profit youth company organization which has been in existence since 1989.
