The arts teach children that in complex forms of problem solving, purposes are seldom fixed, but change with circumstance and opportunity. Learning in the arts requires the ability and willingness to surrender to the unanticipated possibilities of the work as it unfolds.

Kylie Stanton

Originally from Edmonton, Kylie has choreographed projects for Walt Disney Canada, and Dance Saskatchewan’s Annual Gala, “Dare to Dance”. Her performance and work as a dancer includes contracts the Edmonton Fringe Festival, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and Steps Faculty Show in New York City.

Upon moving to Vancouver, Kylie had the honour of being a part of Theatre Under the Stars’ “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat”, 12 Minutes Maxx, the Source Dance Company and Ruckus Dance Company’s productions of “77 Minutes” and “Ricochet”. She also had the opportunity to travel to Egypt and Israel as part of the Canadian Forces Show Tour.

Since then, Kylie has shifted her focus to the academics, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Simon Fraser University and a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from British Columbia’s Institute of Technology. She now resides in Prince George and is on staff at CKPG News.
